The Missing Red Envelopes is a middle-grade book that I designed the interior layout for. I worked closely alongside the author and illustrator to ensure that the illustration placement complements the text and enhances the storytelling experience.
The book is about two Asian American girls from NYC, Lorie and Weina eagerly anticipating the festive celebrations of the Lunar New Year – from watching the vibrant parade to indulging in delicious Asian cuisine and cherishing precious family moments. The highlight of the occasion is receiving lucky red envelopes filled with surprises from their relatives. However, excitement turns to mystery when Weina realizes she lost all of her red envelopes.
The book is published and for sale through Amazon.com and Byyobeqiu.com. Additionally, the book has been featured in an article on Buzzfeed.
